Aviva Investors is hiring a Senior Credit Research Analyst to supplement our existing asset management team in London. This position could be a “generalist” analyst covering any of the four sectors: Industrials Financials, Consumer or Telecoms, Media and Technology. A bit about the job:
This is a credit research role providing investment recommendations on companies to support portfolio construction decisions across both investment grade and high yield credit markets. Knowledge of and experience in distressed investment processes would be desirable.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for covering debt issuers in the industrials and commodities with a geographic focus on European companies. You will use your judgment and experience to make fund management recommendations. You will work collaboratively with research colleagues across AI, fund managers and other AI research and strategy teams to formulate, underpin security selection recommendations, providing debate to existing analysts.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Previous experience of investment grade and/or high yield debt capital markets from a buy side asset manager, sell side investment bank or rating agency
Prior background of credit research, this could be across any sector coverage
Knowledge of and experience in distressed investment processes would be desirable
The ability to deliver investment opinions that contribute to superior, risk adjusted results
Quickly able to develop and build relevant modelling tools
Authoritative within area of expertise alongside a good level of broader macroeconomic knowledge
Well-developed problem solving, decision making and communication skills
