We are experiencing significant growth in demand for private medical insurance as customers are increasingly seeking swift access to good quality healthcare. Demand for Private Medical Insurance has been growing since the COVID pandemic with a growth forecast to continue in the medium term.
We are gaining significant investment into the business through our Modernization program to deliver flexible propositions that meet the growing and changing demands of healthcare and surfaces this to customers in a way that delights them!
This is an exciting time for us which is why we are looking for two individuals to join our team. These individuals will have a significant influence over our ability to get the best possible outcomes for our customers by taking end-to-end accountability for hospital providers by optimizing the delivery, quality and value of services. One role will focus on the national providers and one will focus on London providers, both reporting into the Supply Chain Director.

A bit about the job:
Aviva Health spends in excess of £450m each year with Hospitals for treatment given to our 1.2m+ Private Medical Insurance customers across 1,500 hospitals and clinics, which is why these roles are pivotal for our business. You will be responsible for optimising the value of a significant portfolio of private hospital providers (either National or London) and will set the strategy, negotiate, risk manage, and optimise the delivery of services to our customers at their time of need. You will ensure our customers have access to quality providers, with smooth customer journeys, with cost inflation mitigated and with ESG-aligned credentials. Acting as a key and influential member of the Supply Chain team, you will also lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals.
Taking accountability for strategy, plans, service development, negotiations, contract compliance and provider performance for hospitals comprising of up to £250m p.a. of spend. You will lead and the develop initiatives to improve the quality of and oversight of hospital services across all hospitals – for example drafting target contracts or leading on the development of oncology services.
