Due to growth and several internal promotions, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and career driven trading underwriter to join one of our London based commercial underwriting teams. This is a great job for someone with experience as a liability underwriter who can operate within agreed guidelines and authority levels to profitably and grow a book of commercial Mid–Market business.
You will be aligned to a portfolio of brokers/customers to proactively develop and profitably grow their commercial book of business within Aviva!
A bit about the job:
The job requires you to work collaboratively within one of our London underwriting team to support both the Senior Trading Underwriter and Underwriting Team Manager in delivering financials. The successful applicants will partner with brokers and customers to truly understand their wants and needs, using data insight to ensure we provide whole customer solutions. In turn, you will need great organisation and time management skills including the ability to handle your own diary successfully in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Previous Casualty underwriting experience
- Ability to analyse risks and communicate and present effectively to brokers and/or customers
- Work collaboratively within a large, sophisticated organisation
- Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
- Strong commercial business insight to create and deliver business cases
