At Aviva, we're offering an exciting position as a Casualty Claims Handler with hybrid working arrangements based in Maxim Business Park at Eurocentral where we have car parking, free buses and state of the art friendly offices.
We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to handle casualty claims, providing exceptional service to our clients. Our typical full-time contracts are 35 hours per week with opportunities for part-time or we can accommodate your need for flexibility and offer the option of a 40-hour contract accompanied by an enhanced salary. Our working schedule spans 35-40 hours with a flexible shift pattern between 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday.

A bit about the job
As a Claims handler within our market leading claims division, you will process insurance claims with maximum efficiency and minimum fuss. These may be related to vehicle damage, road traffic accidents or employer’s/public liability incidents. Through meticulously checking facts and asking questions you will drive your claims forward and make accurate liability decisions.
You will talk and listen calmly to our customers, and in some circumstances brokers and claimant solicitors, knowing just the right questions to ask to obtain relevant information to assist you in processing the claim. You'll enjoy taking personal responsibility for your own caseload, continually reorganising and prioritising to ensure our customers get the best service possible.
Skills and experience we’re looking for
Minimum of 5 GCSEs/National 5s at grades A to C (Grades 4 – 9 from 2017), with proficiency in Maths and English being essential
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with effective questioning abilities
Demonstrated capability in delivering exceptional customer service
Experience in claims or insurance is not obligatory as comprehensive training is provided
A keen and adaptable learner who embraces challenges
What you’ll get for this role:
Starting salary from £23,900 (depending on skills, experience, and qualifications)
Bonus opportunity 6% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days
Part time working patterns and flexible working options can also be considered
Hybrid working model – mix of working from home and in the office. Office based at Maxim Business Park.
