Capital and Reporting Actuary
Location – Bristol or York
This is a great job for someone who wants to get involved in both life and general insurance actuarial work and deliver results as part of a small and dynamic reporting team in Aviva International Insurance (AII), Aviva’s internal reinsurance company.
The role would suit a qualified actuary who wants to be involved in reporting and see a wide range of an Aviva company’s actuarial operations.
A bit about the job:
The role is in the Capital and Actuarial Reporting team which is responsible for producing the actuarial reporting for AII. It is a role with a breadth of reporting responsibilities.
You will support the delivery of our regulatory deliveries for Solvency II capital reporting. Additionally, you will provide information and advice to support management decisions, involving corporate planning, sensitivities, solvency monitoring and other financial reporting analysis.
As a relatively small reporting team covering a mix of both Life and GI business reinsured from the UK and Canada you would have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of work within the capital and reporting space.
Prior life and / or general insurance reporting experience is desirable but it is not essential because full training will be given.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Critically analyse information received and understand what it means for the business
Plan work, and manage multiple stakeholders and deliver results
Work collaboratively in a team and with other colleagues across the business
Communicate well, with the ability to explain technical actuarial and accounting information in a simple way
Experience of reporting processes and the control environment is desirable but not essential

Salary ranges from £60,000 - £70,000 ( Depending on skills, experience and qualifications)
