Reporting to and supported by a Principal Contract and Commercial Manager, you will take personal responsibility and accountability for IT suppliers within your scope and will act as a subject matter authority and role model demonstrating Aviva Values to the benefit of the Aviva Group.
This role provides a great opportunity to join, and help further develop, a team dedicated to providing a center of excellence in contract and commercial management across Aviva.
The purpose of the role is to manage contracts in line with the best practice and in accordance with defined policy and standards as well as supporting colleagues in IT and 3rd party performance management roles.
You’ll apply appropriate contractual and commercial management skills, tools and techniques in order to ensure the effectiveness of supplier relationships to meet and exceed contractual obligations, to manage value and to minimize risk.
The candidate will manage contract and commercial risk across the supply landscape, ensuring both Aviva and supplier adherence to contractual obligations and drive additional opportunities where identified, combining market intelligence with a deep understanding of existing supplier arrangements and business requirements to improve value, both supporting and leading commercial negotiations including work order and contract variation approvals.
You will work closely with business colleagues and procurement to build fit-for-purpose contracts, handle contract and commercial risk and support disputes, breaches and exits, whilst utilizing appropriate processes, systems, controls and governance mechanisms to ensure both Aviva and supplier adherence to contract obligations.
