Responsibilities:
System Design and Architecture:
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for AMHS software.
- Design scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant software solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
- Collaborate with vendors and hardware engineers to ensure software compatibility with AMHS equipment.
Software Development:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in languages such as Perl, Python, or C++.
- Develop AMHS control algorithms, real-time monitoring tools, and data analytics modules.
- Implement features for material flow optimization, equipment scheduling, and predictive maintenance.
Integration and Testing:
- Integrate software components with AMHS hardware and automation systems.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system validation to ensure software reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AMHS software performance.
Documentation and Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.
- Document software design, architecture, and implementation details.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Build, maintain, and manage training and support knowledge material.
- Participate in a 24x7 support on-call rotation.
- Provide coordination and action with Major Incident events affecting operations including management of any required post-mortems and associated communication.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to AMHS.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements.
- Propose and implement enhancements to existing software systems.
