About the Role
We are looking for a Training & Onboarding Specialist (Milling & 3D Printing) to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. The Training & Onboarding Specialist (Milling & 3D Printing) will develop, update, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, training curricula, and onboarding programs to drive the fabrication of high quality products across our state-of-the-art dental lab. In this role, you will join a team of 3+ subject matter experts in a brand new, digital-only facility in Dallas, TX. You will be responsible for ensuring that new and existing hires are regularly trained and onboarded in accordance with the latest operating procedures across Milling and 3D Printing manufacturing processes (e.g., nesting), including use of machinery. What You'll Do
Drive Intellectual Capital: Continuously research and drive creation of best practices to develop training and onboarding materials that will enable rapid scale without compromising on quality
Problem Solve: Quickly troubleshoot people, process, and technology issues to identify improvement opportunities in regards to training and onboarding processes.
Quality Adherence: Monitor and enforce adherence to strict manufacturing quality standards and roll up your sleeves when challenges come your way. High quality is key to efficient scalability!
Train & Teach: Continuously train and support a team of 20+ technicians to help them improve performance when executing daily operational tasks. Includes regularly running training programs with different groups of individuals and measuring improvements
Collaborate: Work with teams on the ground to proactively identify and address high priority improvement opportunities and creative solutions
Report directly to our Training & Onboarding Department Lead
What We're Looking For
Ability to be full-time in office Mon-Fri
5+ years of strong technical experience across any manufacturing process
Ability to be full-time onsite in Dallas location Mon-Fri
Proven track record of improving quality at a team and/or department level
Comfortable running training programs for large groups of individuals
Passion for developing, iterating on, and driving training materials to support individuals in improving their performance
High level of comfort with digital tools and technology
Very high attention to detail and organizational skills
Natural curiosity and ability to learn new concepts, tools, and workflows quickly
Strong self-motivation, self-direction, and ability to work through ambiguous situations
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Bonus Points For
Previously built and/or led training program(s) in a dental lab
Strong familiarity with operating milling machines and 3D printers for dental products
Recognized Graduate, CDT or higher certification
Outstanding professional references to share
