Job Description
Structured & Wholesale Term Funding
Assist the structured finance team in Treasury to arrange public securitisation transactions; includes liaising with external counterparties, organising internal resource, preparing Board packs and investor materials
Use knowledge of Capital Markets transactions to drive efficiencies in the overall project management, as well as in the structuring itself.
Support wider wholesale term funding programmes, projects and initiatives which includes Bank of England SMF facilities but also bilateral structured funding;
LAB Investment
Assist the Head of Treasury Markets and Treasury Dealer in proposing, executing and monitoring LAB investments.
EMTN Programme
Play a key part in the annual and supplemental update process for Treasury along with ongoing monitoring of programme terms;
Assist in issuance from the programme including negotiation with key counterparties and development of Investor materials alongside IR.
Monitor the market in hybrid debt to build up internal knowledge of ongoing dynamics
General
Develop Treasury’s day to day processes, controls and limit adherence;
Support the development of the Treasury Management System (Quantum);
Train and instruct junior team members
Qualifications
Education / Qualifications
Good university degree; or relevant apprenticeship
Relevant professional qualification eg Cert BALM or ACT
Experience
Experience in Banking (c1-2 yrs with some capital markets experience)
Experience in the process of securitisation execution
Experience in the weighing up key considerations of structured financing and presenting this to inexperienced audiences.
Experience of bank Treasury processes and systems
Technical / Specialist Knowledge & Skills
Technical
Computer literate (good knowledge of MS Office suite – Excel, Word, Power-Point);
Knowledge of Treasury Management Systems
Bloomberg knowledge
