Role Overview

As a Systems & Control Engineering Year in Industry Student at AB Dynamics you will have a unique opportunity to work on all key AB Dynamics products. You will work within a department with a wide range of coverage within Engineering product development for vehicle testing solutions, allowing exposure to design stages throughout the product development V model.

What will you be doing?

• Assist in the design and development of innovative automotive test equipment systems from concept to production
• Developing real time and embedded C/C++/Python code for PPMAC (Delta Tau), PIC, and STM32 devices
• Develop and maintain virtual validation tools and software environments that simulate real-world scenarios, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and software-in-the-loop (SIL) platforms.
• Collaborate with others to conduct hazard analysis and develop safety cases for our product function.
• Ensure that simulation models and results are validated against physical testing and real-world data

What are we looking for?

• On-track to graduate inside the next two years in a relevant engineering discipline – including, but not limited to, Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical, Software, Mechanical or Robotics Engineering
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Confident and effective communicator with a good level of written and oral English
• Understanding of PID and motor control
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and in C/C++/Python is desirable
