Role Overview

As a member of the Mechanical Design team the role will involve designing new products and improving existing ones.

This position offers a great opportunity to do real design work, from initial concept and analysis, through to prototyping and testing and drawing release for manufacture.

What will you be doing?

• Preparation of concept designs
• Liaising with internal and external sources to assess cost and manufacturing feasibility.
• Supporting the Continuous Product Development process via drawing changes and updates
• Preparation of supporting documentation – engineering calculations, test reports, etc.
• Getting involved in the assembly and testing of new designs and design improvements

What are we looking for?

• On-track to graduate inside the next 2 years in a relevant Engineering field
• A good understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and solid mechanics
• Confident and effective communicator with a good level of written and oral English
• Ability to build a rapport with others
• Strong A levels (or equivalents) in maths and physics is desirable
