Overview:
Our client provides a comprehensive fabrication service, covering the entire process from 3D CAD design to final delivery. They possess significant expertise in designing and fabricating sheet metalwork for a wide range of industries and markets, including signage, point-of-sale products, and architectural metalwork like railings, gates, balconies, garden structures, staircases, balustrades, handrails, platforms, and walkways.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the Operations Manager, Design Manager, and the fabrication team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your primary responsibility will be to secure profitable business both from existing customers and potential new clients by developing a good relationship, identifying their requirements, and estimating and submitting competitive bids. You'll be mainly working from the Factory offices but also in-person visits to customers.
Responsibilities:
Utilize knowledge of laser cutting, press brake, welding, and powder coating.
Apply expertise in metals and materials purchasing.
Implement sales processes to secure profitable business opportunities.
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of fabrication processes, methods, materials, and regulations, particularly in laser cutting, press brake operations, welding, and powder coating.
Estimate project costs accurately by evaluating the time and materials required for fabrication tasks.
Utilize IT proficiency, including ERP programs such as Statii.
Proven experience as a sales & costing estimator.

Confidence in phone communication as (10% of the role) will be new business calls and 90% will be managing relationships with existing customers.
Working Hours:
40 hours per week from 7 AM to 3:30 PM

Additional Information:
Target: Achieve £50,000 in deal revenue. (Individual customer deals may vary in revenue from £170k to £200k).
Customers: Serve customers in the local areas surrounding the office, including Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Leicestershire.
Travel: Engage in 10% customer visits and 90% office-based work. A company van will be provided for customer visits.
