Our client is an established SME with a global customer base and supply chain, gearing up for a new growth phase. They’re based in Sheffield specializing in supplying engine parts and components, and are seeking an energetic and ambitious individual to join as the Head of Operations.
As the Head of Operations. This role will involve working closely alongside the recently recruited Head of Marketing to lead the company's journey towards sustainable growth while maintaining profit margins. Key responsibilities include team development, resource management, and operational optimization to ensure business success. The successful candidate will be responsible for a small team of 10-11 people.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of growth and performance.
Work closely with the Head of Marketing to drive sustainable growth and maintain profit margins.
Improve supply chain efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness through process enhancements and automation.
Analyze and optimize operational processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
Establish KPIs, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to align operational activities with business objectives.
Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on industry trends and encourage learning and development within the team.
Provide strong leadership, motivate team members, and maintain a positive work environment.
Minimum 2 years experience in a management role
Proven expertise in suggesting and implementing business improvements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong IT skills
Finance and accounting: working knowledge of budgeting cash forecasting and balance sheet

Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week. Flexibility within core hours, e.g. 8-4, 9-5
