Job Description
To lead the engineering activities of utility-scale BESS technologies (alternative chemistries and services) and BESS hybrid solutions in Masdar in line with overall engineering plans and objectives.
- BESS hybrid project design, performance and optimization
- Creative design preparation and oversight of hybrid technology evolvement in the market
- EPC contractor discussions and negotiations
- Contribution to stakeholder relations
- Compliance with standards and forms
- Preparation of relevant updates and reports
- Compliance with information security policies, procedures and requirements at all times
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science
- Master’s Degree related in electrical/mechanical/chemical engineering or related field
Additional Information
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in BESS technologies and at least 3 years of experience in leading the technical stream of large scale BESS hybrid projects or equivalent experience.
- Ability to multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Hybrid simulation tool, and exposure to one of the following hybrid power plants simulation tools
- EPC technical annex preparation
- Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, battery energy storage systems and grid energy management systems
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
