Job Description
To lead technical and techno-economic analyses and design aspects for Masdar Photovoltaic (PV) projects in less complex nature in terms of partnership structure, project structure, geographical location, technology wise, risk exposure etc.. As part of an integrated project team, to prepare and agree on project specifications, budgets and timescales with contractors, clients or other stakeholders, and to define basic design, and create or review test procedures for PV plant components such as foundation, PV modules and converters.
- Responsible for screening, studies and other technical support to assess potential PV Power projects for Masdar
- Contracting and supervision of technical consultants for PV Projects development
- Participation in all phases of RFP and tenders for PV Power projects
- Construction and commissioning supervision of PV Power plants
- Technical support to PV projects/assets
- Contact with PV Power related institutions and forums
- Contribution to stakeholder relations
- Compliance with standards and forms
- Preparation of relevant updates and reports
- Compliance with information security policies, procedures and requirements at all times
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Renewable Energy or related field
- Chartered Engineer status(e.g. IET, EUR Ing, PEng) is an asset
- Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2,) is an asset
Preferred Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in the PV industry (preferably with an EPC contractor, engineering firm or technical consultant) or equivalent experience
Job-Specific Skills:
- Knowledge of PV market players and PV components
- Experienced user in PVsyst and basic knowledge in using AutoCAD and PVdesign.
- Battery Storage knowledge and/or experience would be desirable
- Exceptional communication skills and able to work in a dynamic, fast paced, diverse environment.
