Job Description

What’s the opportunity?

Maternity Cover - 12 month contract

The role carries a lead opportunities target in line with the expected growth of Smoothwall’s channel in the UK. Responsible for developing new and existing partners to ensure increased revenue streams within public sector and SMB Market. 

 A Junior Channel Development Executive is tasked with developing the partners which will be allocated to you by your Senior Channel Relationship Managers.  You will also be expected to identify and recruit new partners in target geographies and/or verticals. You will be delegated KPI’s which will show your Senior’s the growth from your allocated partners. You are responsible for the training and sales support of these partners to ensure achievement in line with the team target. Through setting of KPI’s and milestones you are expected to be able to forecast and deliver targeted growth from your partners.   

Training opportunities will also be made available to all Channel Development Executives. Interact in a positive manner, always work as a team and clearly communicate with other departments within the business . 

Here’s how you’ll do it:

  • Grow the current partners assigned through high activity, including: 
    • Arranging external onsite call out days / focus days / account mapping sessions  
    • Suggesting innovative incentives within the budget to increase deal registrations 
    • Working on marketing campaigns with our marketing teams and our channel partners 
  • Recruiting new partners monthly, through research and finding the areas we lack opportunities 
  • Attend partner shows and events where possible 
  • Analyzing channel reports  
  • Stay up-to-date on; 
    • the Company’s products and services 
    • the market/industry  
    • Any customer developments 
  • Share knowledge and best practice ideas with the wider team and company 
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal departments 
  • Use our CRM System and Trello to keep the team up to date with your activity 
  • Establish clear working relationships with Solutions Architects and Engineers assigned to UK Sales from Smoothwall Solutions department for synergy on opportunities 
  • Build and develop a healthy pipeline with your associated Partners 
  • Effectively manage your time on site with your partners, ensuring you can provide an accurate ROI 
  • Increase the sales revenue streams via your allocated partners and show reasoning to provide additional resource or to implement the same processes within further offices 
  • Report to your line manager for reports on necessities such as support and operation requirements, along with what additional resource is needed from an incentive perspective to increase revenue streams 
  • Provide clear and constant communication with Direct Sales Departments during the sales cycle on all Deal Registered opportunities  

Qualifications

  •  Proven track record of personal over-achievement against target as a salesperson 
  •  Articulate, with proven excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation) 
  •  Confident and professional in communicating with internal and external bodies 
  •  Enjoy networking and engaging in new business relationships 
  •  Excellent team player, capable of liaising effectively with other departments 
  •  Structured sales methods for activity planning, account planning and opportunity assessments

You’ll have:

  • Proven track record of personal over-achievement against target as a salesperson 
  • Experience and proven success in business to business selling and account management 
  • Experience of working within a high growth environment 
  • Experience of working with and developing resellers/distributors  
  •   Proven ability to develop relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels of seniority 
  •   Smart, presentable and professional appearance 
  •   Good decision-making ability 
  •   Exceptional problem solving skills  
  •   Full UK driving license
