Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong engineering knowledge of Windows 10 in an Enterprise environment, as well as experience with PCs and laptops in various environments. The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting various devices, including PCs, laptops, MacBooks, and Linux machines, in various environments. They will also provide expertise in operating systems and hardware management in a global context, covering the full lifecycle of devices.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and support various devices, including PCs, laptops, MacBooks, and Linux machines, in various environments.
2. Provide expertise in operating systems and hardware management in a global context, covering the full lifecycle of devices.
3. Operate and maintain Desktop Management Platforms (similar to SCCM) to streamline device management.
4. Configure and manage Active Directory, Domain Join, Azure AD Join (including Hybrid), and other relevant directory services.
5. Test new features, applications, and hardware to ensure compatibility and performance.
6. Implement and manage patch management, application rollouts, and updates for the organization.
7. Develop and maintain standards and procedures for device management, security, and support.
8. Provide support for Office 365 and other enterprise applications, including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Firefox, Edge, and other browsers.
9. Inventory software applications and certify them for use within the organization.
10. Implement and manage desktop security measures, including endpoint security management, multi-factor authentication, encryption, local data security policies, and DLP measures.
11. Investigate and resolve basic to complex software and desktop issues through root cause analysis.
12. Perform OS recovery and troubleshooting, with a focus on remote troubleshooting when possible.
13. Collaborate with the System Administrator, Network team, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
1. Strong engineering knowledge of Windows 10 in an Enterprise environment.
2. Experience with PCs and laptops in various environments, with MacBook and Linux as a plus.
3. Proficiency in operating systems and hardware management in a global context.
4. Operational experience with Desktop Management Platforms (similar to SCCM).
