Job Description

The Treasury Intern is an established role within the Group Treasury team, consisting of 7 people and is part of the Group Finance function. Joining the team at a exciting time in its transformational journey with particular focus on automation and streamlining processes. Reporting to the Treasury Manager assisting with the daily cash and liquidity management, short-term cash flow forecasting, foreign exchange execution and supporting our other front office activities.

• Prepare daily cash balance reporting and weekly cash positioning requirements
• Responsible for the setting the IFS’s daily cash position and associated surplus cash investment decisioning (under the oversight of the Treasury Manager)
• Support the collection and consolidation of the 17-week cashflow forecast reporting (via Kyriba) from our market units. Prepare / investigate actuals to forecast variance reporting from prior week
• Execute foreign exchange instruments (Spot, Forwards and Swaps) to manage currency cash positioning, funding, hedging and investment requirements.
• Support relationships with market units regarding local cash and banking requirements
• Support the administration of bank accounts (including opening / closing accounts and KYC requests) and the maintenance of the central treasury bank mandate repository
• Support the treasury policy compliance questionnaire process
• Support transformational projects to rationalize banks, bank accounts and minimize in country / restricted cash balances
• Support the maintenance of operational data analysis (including bank fees & transaction volumes).
• Contribute to monthly Treasury Reports
• Support the maintenance and enhancement of the treasury management system (Kyriba)
• Support the team on ad hoc projects

Essential:

• Studying a bachelor's degree within a Maths, Economics, Business Management or Finance related degree, expected to achieve at least a 2:1 grade or above.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken.

Desirable:

• Comfortable analyzing data in Excel and creating PowerPoint presentations.
• Some form of prior work or social experience in a finance orientated role
• Knowledge or interest of Corporate Treasury activities
