Responsibilities:
- Produce simple to complex drawings and schematics in accordance with company standards from sketches, maps and data sources, and from verbal or written communication
- Utilize AutoCAD to draft site plans, groundwater contour maps, and other detailed maps relating to environmental projects
- Work independently to prepare accurate, complete, and well-composed maps
- Meet deadlines and complete work within established project budgets
- Communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Relative associate degree is preferred
- 1-3 years of experience performing drafting in an environmental or civil engineering environment
- Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Able to work from various sources to prepare maps and figures with minimal guidance and complex drawings with some guidance
- Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and be willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand
- Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as a technical designer and be willing to work with GIS data and apps
