Field Technician

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Field Technician for our Glen Burnie, MD team.

This highly motivated, reliable and hard-working individual will be responsible for soil remediation, chemical decontamination, underground and aboveground storage tank cleaning and closure, sample collection, separator cleaning and emergency response services.

This position reports to Senior Operation Manager. This role is onsite and is based in Glen Burnie, MD.

Essential responsibilities:

• Pick up and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and materials with a sharp focus on customer service 
• Be able to wear a respirator for 4 to 6 hours per day 
• Provide clients with high-quality and professional customer service 
• Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations and TEI's Health and Safety Practices
• Assist Supervisor, Leadman and other Equipment Operators as requested
• Perform decontamination services at customer locations under varying levels of personal protective equipment
• Be on call for a week long shift every 4th week with the possible need to respond to spills on weekends and evenings
• Operate hand tools, power tools, pumps, pressure washers and heavy equipment
• Be able to work from heights and in confined spaces 

Basic Requirements:

• 1-2+ years of experience in environmental services 
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Daily need to lift items that weigh up to 75 lbs. 
• Complete emergency response training and be placed on an emergency response team.
• Regional travel, and overnights required. 
• Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening.
• Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
• This position is safety sensitive.

Preferred Requirements: 

• 1+ years experience in hazardous waste industry
• 1+ years of confined space entry
• Self-motivated person with the desire to learn 
• Show determination/eagerness to learn and retain a basic knowledge of daily work practices
