The Tax Accountant plays an integral role in ensuring Radius Recycling is complying with its corporate tax filing and reporting requirements. As a key team member, this individual will assist in preparing and documenting various corporate tax filings, as well as engage in critical tax research and planning activities to minimize risks and overall tax burdens. Core responsibilities include the preparation of tax filings and supporting documentation required to substantiate filing positions. This includes, but is not limited to, development of auditable working papers, performing technical research, developing ad-hoc analyses, reviewing accounting detail and supporting documentation, and tax return preparation using available software. Tax filings include corporate and partnership income tax returns on federal, state and local levels. This position consults with internal tax and financial personnel, with outside consultants, and with government officials.
The ideal candidate will have a desire to continually learn and further develop their technical tax and accounting skill sets, and business acumen.

Job Conditions:
Private office environment. Rare out-of-town travel overnight to visit other business locations or attend meetings and seminars. The job requires occasional evening and weekend work resulting in overtime, particularly in connection with preparation of the quarterly and annual tax provisions.
