Support management to ensure that dedicated facilities comply with environmental and occupational health and safety regulations with applicable laws and regulations. Effectively review specifically set controls to protect employees, patients, contractors, and visitors from any potential harm. Support in implementing Mediclinic Middle East’s EHS strategies of occupational health and safety, environmental sustainability programs and initiatives in facilities dedicated to accident and injury prevention, risk assessment, promoting a culture of environment, health, safety and sustainability at the workplace.
Effective coordination and collaboration with different departments and management regarding environment health, safety and sustainability strategy programs
Plans implementation within the assigned facilities.
Monitors Environment, health safety system performance, and report monthly, quarterly and annually.
Participate in the awareness and educational initiatives, events rolled out by the corporate Environment, health and safety department.
Conduct planed and random inspections.
Investigate EHS incident and identify root causes to support setting Preventive and corrective action plans.
Participate in preparation of external regulatory inspections and audits, and JCI accreditation.
Overlook EHS system compliance with EHS legal and regulatory requirements.
Review OSHE Risk Registers, Emergency and Disaster management plans, procedures, drills /exercises for the assigned facilities.
Other responsibilities as per Job description and as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Environment, Health and Safety or Occupational health and safety, or equivalent with certified qualification attested by MOHESR
Must have certification in BCSP- OSH or NASP or NEBOSH or IOSH or OSHA or NASP etc. and Associate member IIRSM or an international equivalent
Minimum 5 years experience’ in Environmental, health and safety systems development, and ISO 14001, 45001 implementation, and maintenance.
Must be an expert in risk management, incident investigation, emergency and disaster management, and auditing/inspection and execution of Environmental, health and safety systems.
