At Jigsaw, we’re on a mission to transform the way professional services and financial institutions work. We do this by helping our clients organise, visualise and use their data (think Figma or Canvas but for the ‘City’). Our clients include the world’s biggest consultancies, leading financial institutions and top law firms. 

Jigsaw was founded by two seasoned entrepreneurs, Stephen and Travis. This is their second venture together; their first was acquired by a US private equity firm and went on to become a billion-dollar company and a household name in professional service firms across the world. Jigsaw is now on a growth trajectory few Series A companies achieve - putting us in the top 10% of SaaS companies globally. Today we proudly serve thousands of users from over a hundred businesses worldwide, who love our products and use them everyday.

The role

We're looking for an Engineering Manager who's as passionate about technology and excellence as we are. In this vital role, you'll be the heart of our development team, ensuring that we deliver nothing but innovative and exceptional solutions. We hire across a range of experience levels, and believe in giving opportunities to early career developers, where you’ll be pivotal in shaping their trajectory. You’ll get to... 

- Lead the engineering team and focus on strategic planning and the successful execution of software projects, based off our technical roadmap. 

- Oversee the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions using C#, ASP.NET Core, TypeScript, Vue, and visualisation technologies, ensuring technical challenges are addressed with innovative solutions. 

- Mentor and develop a team of talented Developers, fostering a culture of hard work, high energy and fun. 

- Work closely with the product and QA teams to ensure projects are delivered with high quality and align with business goals. You will also promote a culture of open communication and collaboration within the team and across departments. 

- Maintain and improve code quality through rigorous review processes, keeping best practices and staying ahead of the curve. 

- Take the time to conduct comprehensive appraisals and performance development reviews, to ensure the continuous improvement and development of team members. 

- Identify capacity and capability gaps within the team and implement targeted development plans. 

- Actively focus on keeping our talent density by strategically recruiting and retaining wonderful people. 

You’ll thrive in this role if... 

- You have proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role within a technology-driven environment. 

- You have a strong technical background in software development, with expertise in technologies relevant to Jigsaw’s stack (e.g., C#, ASP.NET Core, TypeScript, Vue). 

- We’re experimenting meaningfully in applications of AI for making our user experiences even more efficient, so an interest in that area wouldn’t go amiss. 

- You have strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team. 

- You see management as compatible with (or even improved by) a low-ego culture and relatively flat hierarchy. 

- You have excellent problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills. 

- You have a passion for continuous learning, mentoring, and driving technical excellence.
