Job Description Brief:
We are seeking six highly skilled Sign Language Interpreters to assist individuals with hearing impairments, including those who communicate primarily through American Sign Language (ASL) and Arabic Sign Language. As part of our event team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all attendees, including people of determination, have access to necessary information and communication support during their arrival at the venue.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide on-site sign language interpretation services for individuals with hearing impairments at each main gate of our venues.
2. Communicate important information, announcements, and directions effectively in both English and Arabic sign language.
3. Assist attendees with hearing impairments in understanding event procedures, safety guidelines, and any other relevant information.
4. Collaborate closely with event staff to ensure seamless communication and accessibility for all attendees.
5. Remain attentive and responsive to the needs of individuals with hearing impairments throughout the event duration.
Requirements
Requirements:
1. Fluent proficiency in both American Sign Language (ASL) and Arabic Sign Language.
2. Certified or licensed as a professional Sign Language Interpreter preferred.
3. Prior experience providing sign language interpretation in event or public settings is highly desirable.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
6. Sensitivity to the needs and experiences of individuals with disabilities, including people of determination.
7. Availability to work even on public holidays.
