The Position

As a Senior Accountant, you will be accountable for ensuring books and records are accurate and closed on time for the UAE legal entity. Moreover, you will be a part of A&T CoE covering Middle East, Africa and CIS business area and will be acting as the local ambassador to the local business.

Your main accountabilities will be:

• Bookkeeping and General Ledger maintenance

• Supporting external audits and group internal audits

• Ensuring tax compliance

• Managing financial and tax internal controls

• Contributing to Business Area Centre of Excellence projects (standardization, automation, etc.)

Qualifications

As a Senior Accountant, you need to have the ability to work independently and well with cross-functional teams. In addition, you need to have a strong background in accounting, tax and stakeholder management.

To be successful in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or any relevant field

• Proficiency in the English language is a must; Proficiency in the Arabic language is a plus

• Have audit background or at least 5 years of experience in accounting within a multinational organization

• Experience in IFRS or US GAAP and proficient in Excel and writing report

About the Department

The role is based in our Dubai office and have the direct reporting to Accounting & Tax Centre of Excellence (A&T CoE) Director based in Istanbul. A&T CoE scope is Middle East, Africa, and CIS business area (BAMEAC) covers over 15 business units and this is your opportunity to work with talented and diverse colleagues across BAMEAC. A&T CoE is newly established in January 2024 and there are amply of opportunities to work on process harmonisation projects and optimisations together while ensuring the books and records are accurate and closed on time.
